ABOUT THIS EVENT
No plans were made to permit schooling at the Grand Oaks until several requests were received from riders who wanted to school the terrain here. Much of Clayton Fredrick's course is still in place from our January show so the challenges will be significant. We decided to open our Eventing Track for four days only this summer for those who requested it and for those who may want to compete in November.
The fee includes a daily haul-in fee which permits riders to explore the property for the entire day, and ride on fiber as well as in the covered arena.
The rules of the day include four refusals to further protect the turf but does allow the rider to continue on to finish the course and the water obstacle. They also include a walk time for those becoming familiar for the first time to inspect the course.
The good news is that most of our track is in shade which will make for a cooler ride... the bad news is that where there is shade there is no grass, hence our being over protective to insure good turf at our next event.
